The IRTS Foundation invites outstanding juniors, seniors and graduate students to apply now for a chance to attend: IRTS ATLANTA CAREER DAY Sponsored by Cox Media Group Friday, February 10, 2012 A multicultural career workshop designed to provide students in-depth insight into the exciting, evolving media industry, as well as concrete career advice for a competitive edge. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 5PM EST PROGRAM: Learn about the various career opportunities available within a major diversified company such as Cox Media Group, in areas such as sales, digital media, marketing, research, and journalism. The day will include morning panels followed by afternoon interviews with company representatives. Applicants who are selected to attend the Workshop will: * Gain an understanding about how the various divisions of Cox Media Group work together to become a successful enterprise. * Receive career planning advice and professional tips from company executives. * Interview with company representatives for possible jobs, internships, or general career advice. * Hone networking skills while interacting with a broad range of industry professionals. COST: Participants attend the workshop free-of-charge. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. All students will be responsible for their own travel to and from the Career Day. LOCATION: Cox Media Groupís Atlanta Headquarters. Specific address will be given to selected applicants. NOTE: Students who are accepted are required to attend the entire day from 8:00am-5:00 PM
Requirements - Juniors, seniors, graduate students with outstanding academic records and extra-curricular experience are encouraged to compete for You need not be a communications major. IRTS seeks applicants who have demonstrated the skills necessary to succeed in a corporate environment, and/or have shown a sincere interest in communications through experience or extra-curricular activities.
